For those missing it, DEMO is a 12-issue series of “mini graphic novels,” published by Larry Young’s AiT/PLanetLar. Each issue focuses on an individual who, so far, has exhibited a “power.” True, while that may sound like mainstream comic convention, the stories of DEMO are anything but. There’s no kindly professor to take in a scared girl who’s watched people drop dead simply because she told them to. No kindly mentor hero-figure to help a young man with super-strength find his way out of a down and out job in a down and out town.
